Microscopic Description:
Sections including deeper levels demonstrate partially cauterized bronchial tissue. Irregular glands seen in more intact areas with mucinous epithelium which overall lack staining with TTF-1 and Napsin-A, with only focal staining with p40. A stain for Ki-67 demonstrates some proliferative activity.
The findings ae compatible with a mucinous adenocarcinoma.
